Insulating exterior walls properly is essential for protecting your home from the elements. Insulate exterior wall cavities with fiberglass insulation, covered with PROPink® Rigid Foam Insulation, and wrap with PINKWRAP® Housewrap. Shingle recycling is a great way to lessen your impact on the environment. V&R Roofing recycles any materials that we can and we are proud to do so. Roofing materials are taken to a recycling station that accepts roofing materials and the old materials are broken down and used to create new materials for many different applications.
Roofs to Roads:
Old roofing shingles can be used to make a variety of useful items. The largest market for recycled shingles is hot-mix asphalt to repair roads and build new asphalt tarmac. The addition of shingle recycling can make these roads stronger and reduce the need to produce new asphalt.
Dust Control:
Recycled Shingle products is also used for reducing dust on dirt roads and construction areas, as well as building temporary roads and driveways.
New Roofing Shingles:
Adding a mixture of up to 20% recycled shingles to the manufacturing of new shingles has been shown to have no impact on the durability of the new shingle. This means that your old shingles may be used to manufacture new shingles and continue the cycle.
Energy Efficient Roofs
White surfaces have been shown to reflect up to 78% of the sun’s rays to reduce air-conditioning costs. The superb reflectivity of white TPO even reduces the heat build-up under the membrane.
The Best Lifecycle
TPO provides excellent resistance to fire, UV, airborne bacteria, and industrial pollutants such as air-conditioning coolants. Contains no chlorine, a plus for the environment.

In 1963, E. L. Stephens and C. L. Baird, Sr. were convinced that durable, custom light gauge metal roofing and siding products were the wave of the future. That year, the two men left their jobs at Reynolds Aluminum Supply Company and founded a new company in Louisville, Kentucky, called Metal Sales Manufacturing Corporation. By 1966, Metal Sales was delivering orders of custom-cut and ready-to-install metal roofing and siding panels with matching accessories to customers within 7 to 10 days.
As the business grew and promising opportunities presented themselves, Metal Sales infrastructure continued to expand. Metal Sales’ second plant opened in Nashville, Tennessee, in 1969. In 1976, Metal Sales officially entered the industrial and commercial construction markets with the opening of its Jacksonville, Florida, plant.
